Mrs. Rizvi practice concentrates in employment-based and family-based immigration law. She represents a diverse clientele, including small, mid-sized, and large corporations, as well as individuals and families. Her work includes advising and assisting employers in sponsoring foreign nationals for employment-based petitions and guiding families through the process of lawful reunification in the United States. She approaches each matter with diligence, precision, and a steadfast commitment to achieving favorable outcomes.
Mrs. Rizvi has extensive experience representing clients before the United States Department of Labor, the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Administrative Appeals Office. Her immigration practice extends to clients across the globe, reflecting both the breadth and depth of her experience.
As a second-generation South Asian American from a family with deep immigrant roots, Mrs. Rizvi brings a personal understanding to her practice that informs her professional dedication. Michael W. Hanten is a Texas attorney with more than 20 years of experience practicing in state and federal courts. He earned his J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and an LL.M. in Comparative and International Law, cum laude, from the University of Stockholm.
Mr. Hanten focuses his practice on civil, commercial, and criminal litigation, with experience in complex commercial disputes, maritime and cargo matters, trade and customs, insurance, construction, tort liability, wrongful death, and criminal litigation. He is also a certified mediator with extensive mediation experience, including matters before the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Stockholm.
A former U.S. Marine, Mr. Hanten served in Iraq and the Horn of Africa in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He remains active in veterans’ organizations and provides pro bono legal services to veterans in the Houston area.
