Citizenship and Naturalization – For some people, it takes several years before foreign nationals are eligible to apply for citizenship. We have successful represented several clients through the naturalization process and accompanied them to their naturalization interview. Each client has a unique story of their own: One client had been in the U.S. for 15 years, had entered on a student visa (F-1), worked several years for a company on an H-1B visa, and ultimately married a U.S. citizen.
While another client suffered from schizophrenia, a severe mental impairment and psychological abnormality, requiring the submission of an N-648 (medical waiver) from the treating physician along with N-400 naturalization application.
Another client made several trips back to her home country of Pakistan during the previous 5 years of residency and Immigration was not convinced she intended to reside in the U.S. We prepared a detailed and comprehensive application documenting the reasoning for her stays outside the U.S., medical records from her physicians in the U.S. as well as detailed affidavits from family and friends. We were successful in getting her application approved.
